Founder Naomi created heka as a way to get everyone to discover and enjoy the rejuvenating power of plant oils. She sees the collection as a way to support modern life via an ancient tradition that has fascinated her since she was young.
Quality is everything at heka. They select only the very best ingredients for guaranteed freshness and efficacy. Most of their ingredients come from certified organic suppliers and have been cold pressed quickly to avoid deterioration.
Like the Egyptians, they don’t use any synthetic substances or preservatives in our oils, so we only mix to order.

Most of heka's ingredients come from certified organic suppliers and have been cold pressed quickly to avoid deterioration. Of course none have been tested on animals. heka requires proof of licensing for obtaining rare or protected oils (for example sandalwood).
Packaging:
Shipping is completely plastic-free and minimal. Some products' containers do contain plastic though, here's more info:
- The balm comes in a PET plastic jar for ease of carrying around.
- The rollerballs have a plastic roller and lid.
